| I said 19" tires are more expensive than 18"s or 17"s, and also that tire selection goes down. That's a simple fact. I used my $2,000 a set as an extreme and VERY unfortunate example, not as the only option out there. Go to tire rack and search 285/30/19 and look. You get 11 tires to choose from, ranging from $311 each up to $541 each before shipping or installation. That's quite a bit more than $1000 installed for all four. Now search 285/35/18, and look at what you get. You get 20 tires to choose from with a price range of $119-$397. That's with just going to 17"s Now obviously depending on different sizes and brands you will get different results, but you must agree that even a retarded monkey could notice a trend here. Bottom line is this...as I said in my post to him. When it comes to price and selection, 19" wheels and tires are not the best to have. I say that, other member will agree, and I've have had plenty of employees at discount tire tell me the same thing in person...it's just that odd ball size. I happen to like 19" wheels a lot on my Z though and can live with the price, so I don't mind, but to many others, those are two very important factors to consider when choosing a wheel size hence why I wanted to let him know in advance. Just trying to help a noobie dude! =)
